Enhancing the Competitiveness of the Hong Kong Air Freight
Forwarding Industry Using RFID and Software Agent Technologies

For many years now, Hong Kong has been a leader in international air cargo processing. To maintain its long-term competitiveness, there is a strong need for Hong Kong to invest in applied research on advanced air freight forwarding services. Funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) through the Hong Kong R&D Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Enabling Technologies (LSCM), and with the collaboration of Hong Kong Association of Freight Forwarding And Logistics (HAFFA) and other industrial partners, this Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) project aims to investigate the use of RFID and software agent technologies to enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong's air freight forwarding industry. In this seminar, the project team will present the interim results.
